Mr. Patrick Colonna is the Director of Education and Curriculum Development for the JOBS Program. He is a college and career counselor, curriculum specialist, and an educator with 19 years’ experience including 7 as Associate Director of College Counseling at independent schools and 16 years as a classroom instructor in public and private schools in Cleveland, Boston, and Allentown.
Mr. Colonna was selected to be a member of the Counselor Advisory Board for Michigan State University’s Office of Admissions from 2014 through 2016 where he assisted the university review admission data and trends and made recommendations for strengthening admission practices. From 2010 through 2016, Mr. Colonna served as a member of the Government Relations Committee for PACAC and OACAC, regional affiliates of the National Association of College Admission Counseling. In this role, he developed policy and travelled to Washington, DC where he advocated for increased access to secondary education and held meetings on Capitol Hill with legislators in support of relevant educated related bills and programs.
Mr. Colonna holds a Master of Education from The George Washington University, earned a Master of Fine Arts in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College, and has a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the University of Massachusetts.
Mr. Colonna lives in Cleveland Heights and spends the best part of his time chasing his three beautiful children through the parks, sport fields, and museums of the city and surrounding area. He can be found playing hockey every weekend at local rinks, heard playing his guitar and harmonica on his porch, or seen riding through the city on his 1982 Harley Davidson.
