Host an Electronics Round Up – eWaste Collection
So, what is an electronics round up or an eWaste collection? Simply put, your organization would schedule a day where individuals can drop off their unwanted electronics at a specified place. Electronics can be old laptops, desktops, cell phones, radios, stereos, cameras or anything else you can think of. These older electronics are sorted to scrap out metals, pull components for resale or even repair the units for resale. We all know the best way of reducing our carbon footprint is to reuse or resell an item. My Recovery Day will always try to clean up and repair an item first to resell it. In this way, the proceeds generated are used to support other My Recovery Day programs that serve the recovery community.
My Recovery Day can also provide support for your electronics round up day from posters, flyers or any other creative works that can easily be downloaded. It is a great way to help raise environmental awareness for your company, community or school and help support individuals in recovery. We will also supply the truck to pickup all of the donated electronics at the end of the day. Call us so we can help. Donating computers and other electronics in a “Roundup’ is a great way to keep them out of the landfills.
