CLEVELAND, OHIO July 21, 2023 – 3RTEC, Inc. dba My Recovery Day, a NE Ohio based nonprofit providing help and hope to individuals in recovery, announced this week that it will be streaming its outreach event to over 750 treatment centers and sober living homes across the country and that number is growing fast. “Currently, we have exceeded last year’s numbers and believe we can reach over 100,000 individuals in recovery,” according to its Executive Director and Founder, Bill Tymoszczuk. The event is called “My Recovery Day Jam 2023 – Recovery is Possible and It Rocks.” It will take place on Veterans Day, November 11, 2023 from 7:00 to 10:00 pm EST at the Rock Hall. Streaming the event live allows any recovery organization from anywhere to host a watch party for FREE bringing clients, staff and alumni together. The closing ceremony will pay tribute to our vets, especially those in recovery.

This year’s lineup includes Marc Lee Shannon, Cory B Smith and The Williams Project and headliner Colicchie and features a diverse mix of Midwest rock, R&B and Hip Hop. A band member from each group will share their message of hope about what it was like for them at the end of their addiction and what they do now to stay in recovery. Each artist will then play with their band. At the 2022 event, Shannon shared his message of hope and played some great music to over 10,000 online viewers. He was the guitarist with Michael Stanley’s Resonators for 25 years and has been sober since 2014. According to Shannon, “Last year was just amazing to share my journey on stage.” He explains, “It is important that individuals understand that they are not alone in their struggles and that there is hope for recovery. A desire not to pick up and the willingness to work a program of recovery are where it starts!”

“We are very excited about putting on this event for the second time at the Rock Hall, especially to reach individuals who are new in recovery,” says Tymoszczuk. “NE Ohio is the home of Rock and Roll and 12 step recovery. I could not think of a more iconic venue.”

According to Lori Lawrence, VP of Correctional Programs at Oriana House, a nonprofit agency that provides behavioral health and community corrections programs throughout Ohio, “Oriana House hosted watch parties last year in several of our residential facilities and our clients and staff loved it! This year we are even more excited for all of our residential facilities to participate in My Recovery Day watch parties because of the encouragment, destigmatization, and entertainment they provide. ”

Founding Chairman, Chip Coakley also shares “The response to this event has been great. We have established many new relationships to help support our efforts of serving other in recovery and are grateful to our sponsors for their financial support.”
